The hype around Wrexham has even brought representation in ‘The Soccer Tournament’ over in the United States.
The ‘Wrexham Red Dragons’ come together to feature in the seven-a-side competition, with the team often a mixture of current and former Wrexham players, amateur American players and some more famous faces.

Marc Albrighton named in Wrexham squad for The Soccer Tournament
Having been involved in The Soccer Tournament in 2023 and 2024, Wrexham will again send a team to North Carolina.
The official TST website has now published Wrexham’s squad – and there are more than a few recognisable names.
Current Wrexham talents Aaron James, Alex Moore, Callum Edwards, Harry Ashfield and Tom Kelly are all set to be involved.
Former Wrexham midfielder and current coach David Jones has also been named in the squad, joining Abraham Rodriguez, Navid Nasseri, Sak Hassan and Yannick Parkes.
George Boyd has no connection to Wrexham but will again feature in TST, with Marc Albrighton representing a surprise addition.
Former Honduras international Roger Espinoza featured for Wrexham last year, so you truly never know who will turn up in this tournament.
Former Leicester City star and Premier League title winner Albrighton will represent Wrexham this summer, with Liam McAlinden also involved.
Ben Tozer retired on Monday but will feature for Wrexham in this seven-a-side competition – and will be looking to help secure the $1million prize money.
Wrexham opponents at The Soccer Tournament
Wrexham have been placed in Group F at The Soccer Tournament, with Bournemouth headlining the opponents.
Former Cherries stars Matt Ritchie, Lewis Grabban, Simon Francis, Tommy Elphick, Dan Gosling, Harry Arter, Junior Stanislas, Andrew Surman and Charlie Daniels are all scheduled to play in a strong side.
Real Athletico and The Concafa Soccer Club are also in Wrexham’s group, but they have yet to confirm their squads.
WWE commentator and former NFL punter Pat McAfee is behind The Concafa Soccer Club and actually played in the tournament last year.
Zat Knight, Mike Grella, Brek Shea and Geoff Cameron were notable inclusions for them last year, and they could boast a strong squad again with McAfee involved.
Wrexham are bound to be one of the most popular teams in the competition, with American supporters given a chance to see some players from past and present this summer.
