Rob McElhenney revealed his It’s Always Sunny co-star ‘broke the law’ during his recent visit to the Racecourse Ground.
Wrexham has had a little Hollywood glitz injected into it since Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds’ takeover of the club.
The likes of Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, and David Beckham have all been spotted at Wrexham games in recent months, after the North Wales club gained international recognition with Disney+ documentary ‘Welcome to Wrexham’.

Rob McElhenney‘s It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia co-stars joined the Wrexham co-owner at The Racehorse Ground in April to watch their 3-0 win over Yeovil.
Rob’s wife and co-star Kaitlin Olson was there, as was Glenn Howerton and Charlie Day, who play Dennis and Charlie on It’s Always Sunny.
The A-listed revelled in the victory, and even joined in with punters at a local pub to serve them pints. Charlie Day also joined some of the Wrexham players on the pitch for a cooldown which went viral.

However, Rob recently revealed that Charlie Day inadvertently ‘broke the law’ during his last visit.
Day could be see chilling on the balcony with a beer in his hand, but had to be rushed back inside as consuming alcohol goes against regulations and Wrexham could have been fined.
“He was the only one to get busted drinking alcohol because he didn’t know,” said McElhenney on the RobRyanRed podcast. “I mean, what people truly don’t understand is Americans, we don’t understand that rule, we didn’t know that was a rule.
“So he was sitting out in the box and he was drinking a beer and nobody noticed it, or they just didn’t say anything. And somebody took a still frame and texted it to me from the broadcast saying ‘Hey, get your boy off the balcony, you’re going to get a fine.’ And of course, he ran back inside because he had no idea what the law was, but that’ll be something he gets to take to his grave!”
