Wrexham are continuing to make moves, this time securing the services of a key player for another season.
Wrexham have been incredibly active in the transfer market this summer, signing eight senior players already.
With the Championship season just around the corner, the Red Dragons are expected to make further additions before the September 1 deadline.
Amid all the incomings, Phil Parkinson has confirmed Wrexham players will leave this summer.
The Welsh outfit have never been shy about moving previously key players on after a promotion, with Ollie Palmer expected to depart after three years at the club.
However, one long-time star is sticking around for a little while longer.

James McClean signs new Wrexham contract
Wrexham broke their transfer record in July with the addition of Liberato Cacace.
Ryan Longman can also play at left-wing-back, giving Parkinson four options in that position, including James McClean and Sebastian Revan – the manager has said Jacob Mendy will leave on loan.
McClean’s deal was due to expire at the end of the 2025/26 season, but Wrexham have now confirmed in an official statement via their website that he has agreed a one-year extension.
They wrote: “Wrexham AFC are delighted to announce that James McClean has signed a new contract with the Club until the end of the 2026/27 season.”
On signing a new contract, the former Wigan Athletic ace said: “I’m delighted to be extending my contract with the Club. It’s no secret that I’ve enjoyed my time here and I want to help continue the success we’ve had so far.
“My family love it here, I love it here and we’re excited for the future.”

James McClean Wrexham stats
The defender joined Wrexham from Wigan during the summer of 2023.
He made 44 appearances in all competitions in his debut campaign at the Racecourse Ground, scoring four and assisting 13 as the club won promotion from League Two.
McClean was once again a key figure in 2024/25 when Wrexham secured a third, historic promotion.
He scored four and provided six assists in 45 matches for the Red Dragons last term.
