Wrexham beat Charlton Athletic 3-0 on Saturday evening, securing a third straight promotion in style.
The likes of Crawley Town, Salford City and Fleetwood Town spent handsomely to get out of non-league in years gone by.
None of them managed to make it to the Championship, though, which just goes to show what an incredible achievement this is for Wrexham.

Ollie Rathbone opened the scoring as his powerful drive from the edge of the box found it’s way into the net.
Sam Smith scored twice to hand Wrexham the 3-0 win, but it was fitting that Rathbone set Wrexham on the path to victory.
Rathbone joined Wrexham last summer and has become one of the first names on Phil Parkinson’s team sheet.
The midfielder’s endless energy and his quality in the final third have been crucial to Wrexham’s promotion charge, and we saw that once again on Saturday.
Rathbone has taken to Instagram to share a host of photos from Saturday’s win, celebrating with friends, family and teammates alongside the captain ‘special day, special people, special club’.
Smith, Ryan Barnett, Max Cleworth, Lewis Brunt, Andy Cannon and Mark Howard all showed their love for Rathbone, whilst former Wrexham striker Jon Dadi Bodvarsson even offered his congratulations.
There was even a message from Napoli midfielder Scott McTominay, who came up in the Manchester United ranks alongside Rathbone.
‘World class photos’ said McTominay, before going on to score twice for Napoli in their push for the Serie A title.
Rathbone is not only a quality player, but also clearly so popular off the pitch – and Wrexham’s decision to sign him now looks like a masterstroke.
Ben Tozer on Wrexham promotion
Former defender Ben Tozer joined in the celebrations, posting on his Instagram story ‘what a club’ as Wrexham go up once again.
Tozer joined Forest Green Rovers last summer but has kept a close eye on Wrexham’s fortunes this season.
Tozer played his part in the back-to-back promotions and clearly loves seeing Wrexham make it three in a row.
The defender may have something to celebrate himself this season, as Forest Green Rovers are set for a National League play-off place.
Just as Tozer cheered on Wrexham, fans and players who crossed paths with Tozer will support him from afar in the coming weeks as he chases a return to League Two.
