Wrexham are ready to continue their promotion quest as they face a tough trip to Wigan Athletic.
Wrexham have been warned about Wigan in how their defensive solidity will be tough to break down but Phil Parkinson will be confident in finding a way through given the excellent form of Sam Smith.
Wycombe fans still believe in promotion following their win at Huddersfield to close the gap to just three points and the 1-0 victory over The Chairboys looks even more vital week upon week.
Ollie Rathbone has shared how he moved to Wrexham and he also revealed a bizarre incident involving the Red Dragons popular assistant Steve Parkin following that win at Adams Park.

Ollie Rathbone reveals bizarre Steve Parkin reaction to Wrexham win over Wycombe
Speaking on the Men in Blazers YouTube channel, Wrexham midfielder Rathbone has shared an amusing story of Parkin in the dressing room after the Red Dragons defeated Wycombe 1-0 in March.
Rathbone stated: “Every time we win a game, there’s no like elaborate celebrations, nothing major like that even when we beat Wycombe a few weeks ago for example, that was kind of deemed as a massive game,
“We put the music on in the changing rooms after the game, turned it up a bit and Steve Parkin came in and turned it down and said ‘we don’t want to act like we’re winning the league here.”
The 28-year-old has been outstanding for Wrexham this season and revealed that the focussed mentality has helped the squad this season.
Rathbone explained: “Little things like that really rub off on you and you don’t get carried away with little wins here and there and it gets you focussed onto the next one.”
Rathbone a contender for Wrexham’s player of the season
Humphrey Ker’s Wrexham player of the year is defender Eoghan O’Connell but with six goals in 36 appearances from midfield, Rathbone should also be in the conversation.
Max Cleworth has also been outstanding throughout the season and the club will have a difficult decision come the end of the campaign to choose just one candidate.

Personal accolades will not be at the top of any player’s list at present however, with the squad’s eyes firmly on the same goal of promotion to the Championship.
Wrexham would be the first side to win three successive promotions in the English Football League and the coaching staff’s mentality will have played a huge role if they manage to do so.
