Wrexham midfielder Ollie Rathbone continues to shine – and he appears to be loving his time at the STōK Cae Ras.
Wrexham’s League One promotion hopes are certainly alive after Phil Parkinson enjoyed a 1-0 win over Huddersfield Town on Tuesday night.
This was a big night for Wrexham with second-placed Wycombe Wanderers taking on relegation-battlers Burton Albion at home.
Wrexham would have expected a Wycombe victory and that is how the night played out as the Chairboys secured a 2-0 win.
Wrexham had to go to Huddersfield and come away with a positive result having drawn 0-0 with Bolton Wanderers on Saturday.
One goal was enough for the victory as Steven Fletcher scored from close range, sending the travelling fans wild.

Mick Rathbone has enjoyed a great career in the game himself, playing for Birmingham City, Blackburn Rovers, Preston North End and Halifax Town.
A full back in his playing days, Rathbone senior became a physio under David Moyes at PNE before following him to Everton.
Responding on X, Rathbone noted that his son is ‘absolutely’ loving life at Wrexham having arrived from Rotherham United over the summer.
Wrexham fans certainly love Rathbone too with the midfielder’s never-ending energy making him a fan favourite.

Rathbone turned in another strong performance on Tuesday night and will now be gearing up to face his former club this weekend.

Rathbone will almost certainly start again as Wrexham chase promotion, and he will be desperate to show his former club just what they are missing.

That deal is now looking like an absolute bargain with Rathbone becoming one of Wrexham’s most consistent players after a fairly slow start.
