Wrexham have headed into the international break sitting second in League One after a thumping 4-1 win over Northampton Town.
Phil Parkinson wanted to hit back after picking up just one point on the road at Leyton Orient and Stevenage.
Wrexham are so good at the STōK Cae Ras and being back at home certainly brought out the best in Parkinson’s players.
Northampton Town were demolished as Wrexham romped to a 4-1 victory with James McClean bagging a brace.
Jack Marriott and Elliot Lee were also on the scoresheet, handing Wrexham an ideal win after two blanks on the road.

Wrexham star to be named in FC 25 Team of the Week
Wrexham were on top form on Saturday and one player has earned enormous praise off the back of the win.
Ryan Barnett was unplayable as Wrexham’s right wing back and terrorised Northampton all day long.
Barnett registered three assists and even helped set up the other goal, crossing for McClean to tee up Marriott’s goal.
Barnett’s crossing was exceptional and assistant boss Steve Parkin has praised Barnett for a ‘terrific’ performance.
George Dobson and Humphrey Ker both hailed Barnett too – but he has been overlooked for the FC 25 Team of the Week.
The latest Team of the Week on the EA Sports title is about to drop on Wednesday evening and one inside source reports that a Wrexham player is included.
However, the player involved is actually McClean as his two-goal display has been rewarded over Barnett’s three-assist performance.
Some Wrexham fans may disagree with that decision but fans who play FC 25 will now have a new player to use on the game.
Previous Wrexham Team of the Week inclusions
McClean’s inclusion means that the Irishman will join an exclusive list of Wrexham players to have received special cards in the Ultimate Team game mode.
Jordan Davies was the first in FIFA 22, receiving a 71-rated Team of the Week card after scoring twice in Wrexham’s 6-5 win over Dover Athletic.
Paul Mullin was handed a Team of the Week card in FIFA 23, just days after smashing a hat-trick in a 5-1 win over Oldham Athletic.
Mullin later received a Team of the Season card, with McClean now set to become the latest Wrexham special card.
Wrexham’s lengthy spell in the National League means that there haven’t been many special cards in the Ultimate Team mode.
Now back in the game, Wrexham will be represented by McClean in the latest Team of the Week – though Barnett can feel a little aggrieved to have been overlooked.
