Wrexham star, Paul Mullin has opened up about a story with his son, where he was told off by physio, Kev Mulholland.
Paul Mullin has turned out to be a top-class signing for Wrexham both on and off the pitch since his free transfer in 2021.
Under the tutelage of Phil Parkinson, the Welshman has been a goalscoring machine. 88 goals in just over 110 games shows just how good he has been.
With that being said, the ‘Welcome to Wrexham‘ documentary has helped fans open up to a more personal side of their striker.
It is clear that the fans adore their striker and given his form in recent years, there are many reasons as to why.

His son plays a huge part in his life, as seen in the documentary, and he has spoken out on a story involving him.
What has Paul Mullin said?
Following the release of Mullin’s book, ‘My Wrexham Story‘, fans have been reacting.. Not that this was a surprise, but his son, Albi, plays a huge part in the story that is told throughout.
In one moment, transcribed by Goal.com, Mullin has revealed that he was told off after spending time with his son.
Discussing the moment, he said: “Kev’s [Mulholland, Wrexham physio] been great with that, although I have been known to test his patience at times.
“For his fourth birthday, we took Albi to a trampoline centre. Thing is, professional footballers really aren’t meant to go on trampolines. I’d done the same thing earlier in the season, put some pictures on Instagram, and you’d think I’d gone base-jumping without a parachute the reaction I got.”
It is nice to hear the human side of players especially one that is as well-loved and as good as Mullin has been. Hearing him talking about the personal side of his life and doing stuff with his son is quite heartwarming.
It is clear that Mullin doesn’t want to have any regrets and wants to spend as much time with his family as possible. With that being said, it does come with some complications.
On that, he added: “OK, I’ll admit occasionally that doesn’t always work out well. I recently banged the base of my spine sitting down on the edge of a sandpit. Kev couldn’t believe it – ‘You need to stop doing things with Albi!’ But he was laughing when he said it. He knew no way was that going to happen.”
The Welshman has been open and honest about his son, especially in the documentary and now in his book. These things are great to hear from the Reds’ star and fans have been enjoying his book for that reason.
