Rob McElhenney has revealed that Paul Mullin will be staying with him in California whilst the Engish forward recovers from his punctured lung.
Mullin had to be provided with oxygen after Manchester United goalkeeper Nathan Bishop crashed into the forward, causing a punctured lung in the process.
It looked terrible at first glance, but thankfully Mullin is recovering well – he was even admitted out of hospital the following day.
However, the striker still needs some time to recover, which means he still remains firmly in the States despite the rest of the side travelling home in preparation for the EFL campaign.

Hollywood Room Mates: Mullin bunks with McElhenney
With Mullin recovering in the US, he needed somewhere to stay and it appears to-owner Rob McElhenney has gone the extra mile for his player and has allowed him to stay with him in California!
In an interview with S4C, McElhenney said the following about Mullin: “He’s okay. I just texted with him this morning. He’s in San Diego and he’s going to come up and stay with us for a couple of weeks until he can leave and head back to Wales.”
Talk about going the extra mile. This must be the first time ever an owner has had a player stay with him through an injury!
It just shows the real magic of McElhenney. He’s just an all-around good bloke.
McElhenney excited for the season, even without Mullin
McElhenney then went on to talk with S4C about his excitement for the upcoming campaign, even if that is without star-man Mullin.
“I cannot believe it’s beginning again, but I’m so excited,” the Always Sunny star began.
“It’s the first time that Wrexham will be in the EFL in 15 years. I think the whole town is going to come out for that as well. And we’re hoping for a good outcome.
“I’d like to see us continue to compete and to be at the top of that table and have a chance at the end to move up to the next league.”
We hope so too Rob. Wrexham kick off their EFL campaign against MK Dons next Sunday – it’s not to be missed!
