Following an unbeaten October, Wrexham manager, Phil Parkinson has admitted he isn’t getting carried away just yet.

The past month for Wrexham looked to be very tough on paper, with many fans hopeful of nine points.

What has transpired is Phil Parkinson’s side have come out unscathed with a great total of 14 points from a possible 18.

With wins over Crawley, Salford and Sutton United, the icing on the cake was an impressive 2-0 victory against Notts County.

The Red Dragons continued their goalscoring form, scoring 12 in seven games across the month.

What has Phil Parkinson said?

It has been nothing short of a great month for Wrexham. To go unbeaten against a great calibre of team has been special.

Parkinson felt this was the case when speaking with Leader Live. On that, he said: “When you look at the month of October and the games we have had.

“Bradford away, Mansfield away, Crawley away and Notts County away. To come out of it the way we have is a great credit to everybody.”

There are some great teams in this league so to be up there fighting at the top end is a huge compliment.

With that being said, Parkinson is taking each game as they come: “We are not going to get carried away because it is so early in the season.

“It goes without saying when you beat one of your rivals, in the manner we have done it is a great confidence booster for us. Not that we needed much confidence boosting.”

A top mindset from the manager who demands highly of his players in every match that they play in. He won’t let anyone take their form for granted.

Looking forward, he added: “Now we need to get ready for what is going to be another exciting month ahead.”

A special start to the season, and long may it continue.
