Wrexham have won just once in their last five games and are beginning to drift in the race for automatic promotion in League One.
Wrexham fans are now worried about missing out on the playoffs as the worrying decline in form has come just at the wrong time with games coming thick and fast.
Wrexham’s predicted line up against Crawley includes five changes from the Stevenage defeat as manager Phil Parkinson looks to shuffle his pack after some poor individual showings.
The Red Dragons have been linked with a host of strikers during the transfer window and Wrexham have shown a late interest in Sam Smith of Reading. However, it isn’t just incoming players that Parkinson believes will improve results

Phil Parkinson wants Wrexham to stop conceding ‘soft’ goals
Speaking to The Leader, Parkinson has called on his Wrexham side to cut out errors that are leading to goals being conceded in a ‘soft’ fashion.
Parkinson stated: “We’ve got to eliminate mistakes from our game because it’s not just on Tuesday, it’s over the last few weeks we’ve conceded soft goals and we’ve got to eradicate them.”
The boss then went on to explain how the structure of his side, that has contributed to much of their success in recent years, may need to be reviewed.
Parkinson explained: “For whatever reason, we haven’t scored as many goals as we’ve have liked this season but we’ve been very well structured and a strong team. That’s what’s got us to the place we’re in in the division. Now we need to start again and review it.”
Parkinson’s back three combination up for debate for Wrexham
It has been hard to find consistency in Parkinson’s defensive selections with injuries hitting the Wrexham squad.
The back three against Stevenage was the first time Parkinson had been able to name an unchanged defensive line up since the start of January and are still without the influential Lewis Brunt.

Wrexham are unbeaten with Brunt in the side this season, and with his imminent return to full fitness, it is important for Parkinson to find his first choice back three and give them a run of games.
That starts with a tricky trip to Crawley next up in League One and the Red Dragons know that defeat there would make another huge dent in their promotion hopes.
