Wrexham manager, Phil Parkinson has confirmed that he will rotate his team as his team face back-to-back cup games.
It has been a great start to the season for Wrexham in League Two, but the upcoming games take their focus elsewhere.
At the weekend, Phil Parkinson’s side travel to face an inform Mansfield Town side in the first round of the FA Cup. This is followed by an EFL Trophy group game against Port Vale.
The Reds have been top-class, without a loss in eight games. In the EFL Trophy, two wins from two have them top of their group.
This form will want to be kept up by everyone at the club for as long as possible.
What has Phil Parkinson said?
The Reds have been ravaged by injuries over the last few weeks which have hampered the ability to rotate the squad. Steven Fletcher is the latest player to be sidelined.
This has been an issue for Parkinson. Speaking to Leader Live, he said: “It is frustrating with the injuries we have got but we have got players we have added to the squad.”
With that being said, there are players beginning to return: “Andy Cannon is available and Anthony Forde is back in full training so he will get game-time in these cup games.”

The next two games potentially provide an opportunity to give some minutes out to some fringe and returning players.
Explaining his thoughts on that, the manager added: “Bryce, Callum and Billy come into the thinking for the two cup games. With the injuries we have got, it is great to have those three available.
“They have been tremendous in training and you could sense this week that they all feel there’s an opportunity around the corner for them.”
It is safe to say that the break from the league may have come at an ideal time for Parkinson and his squad.
Although some may want to carry on in the league to keep up this great form, the squad may need a break more.
