Wrexham face a huge game in their quest for promotion as they welcome league leaders Birmingham City to the Racecourse Ground.
Wrexham are unbeaten at the Racecourse Ground since March 2024 but face their sternest test yet as high-flying Birmingham City come to town.
Phil Parkinson criticised the team’s defending in their defeat to Shrewsbury but defender Max Cleworth has shared his plan to stop Birmingham from adding to their 42 league goals already this season.
Parkinson confirmed Lewis Brunt will return from injury for the game and has also been speaking about the importance of the home fans ahead of the biggest game of the season so far.

Phil Parkinson reveals fans are a key to Wrexham’s great home record
Speaking at his pre-match press conference ahead of Wrexham v Birmingham City, manager Parkinson was speaking about how proud he is of the club’s home form and how it could give his side something to build from against the Blues.
Parkinson stated: “We’re very proud of our home form not just this season but over the last few seasons. It is something that has obviously been key to our success.”
The Wrexham boss also had a message for the fans as to how they can play their part in helping the team overcome a formidable obstacle under the lights at the Racecourse.
Parkinson explained: “It was a terrific atmosphere in the first game and Thursday will be no different here at the Racecourse, it will be bouncing and it’s a game that when the fixtures came out everybody was eagerly anticipating.”
Parkinson reveals hard work done on the training pitch following Shrewsbury defeat
Still hurting from the manner in which Wrexham lost against local rivals Shrewsbury Town, Parkinson has revealed that the players have been working hard in training in order to put things right in their next League One clash.
Parkinson stated: “They’re a great, honest group and the lads have had time to reflect and work on the training pitch to put in a better all round performance.”

Wrexham will feel that defeat against Birmingham will probably end any hopes of lifting the League One trophy this season but a positive result could be a huge swing of momentum in the promotion push.
The fans will no doubt play their part and get the Racecourse ‘bouncing’ as instructed by their manager, now it is up to the players to deliver a performance.
