Wrexham produced an excellent display to earn a battling 1-1 draw against league leaders Birmingham City.
Ollie Rathbone shone in the Wrexham player ratings and opened the scoring with a sumptuous strike early in the first half with a curling effort from 25 yards.
A Lyndon Dykes header deflected off of the unfortunate George Dobson to draw the visitors level before Wrexham piled on the pressure in search of a winner in the second half.
Phil Parkinson would have been pleased with a much improved performance from the defeat at Shrewsbury Town and gave a message to his players following their brave efforts against the League One leaders.

Phil Parkinson urges his squad to improve their mentality away from home
Speaking to Sky Sports post-match coverage of Wrexham v Birmingham, Parkinson has told his players that the club’s away form needs to improve if they are to stand any chance of promotion.
Parkinson stated: “We go away from home and it’s everyone’s cup final, it’s a full house but we’ve got to deal with that.”
The Red Dragons boss then compared what his side have to deal with away from home to their own performance against high-flying Birmingham City.
He stated: “We’ve got to find a way and we’ve got to accept that teams are going to play against us the way we played against Birmingham tonight, put us under pressure and close us down. We have to rise above that.”
Wrexham have four away games in their next five fixtures
It seems the time to start winning away from the Racecourse Ground is now for Wrexham as they look to build momentum from their excellent display against Birmingham.
Four out of their next five fixtures are all away from home across two competitions and Parkinson will be hoping his Wrexham squad can capitalise on his words of advice.

With Jack Marriott returning to full fitness, the club will be hoping he can provide a spark to ignite a run of results. Wrexham are also close to signing Ryan Longman from Hull City.
A solid performance against Birmingham will count for nothing unless the North Wales side can now use that momentum and go on a winning run.
