With pre-season preparations underway, Wrexham will be looking to strengthen their squad ahead of the coming League One season.
Pre-season testing began at the end of June with Phil Parkinson’s squad starting their training ahead of the 2024/25 campaign..
With preparations underway on the training pitch, Hollywood owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney will be looking to support the team and make key decisions with regards to transfer incomings at the Racecourse.
The Red Dragons have made a strong start to the summer window with the summer signing of free agent Arthur Okonkwo. The English shot-stopper signed a three-year deal after impressing on loan from Arsenal last campaign.
Parkinson will now be looking to improve his squad in other areas ahead of the club’s first League One season in 19 years.

Portsmouth boss issues key update on Wrexham target Joe Morrell
Since the Hollywood takeover, the club has looked at key signings to have experience at higher levels. Big-name transfers like Paul Mullin, Steven Fletcher, and James McClean have all provided strong experience in the dressing room.
Wrexham have been linked with a few different midfielders since being promoted, but Welsh international Joe Morrell has emerged as a potential key target.
Portsmouth boss John Mousinho has given an update on Portsmouth’s contract stance on the player who would be able to leave as a free agent.
Speaking to The News, Mousinho said: “‘Regardless of the contract situation with Joe, he is part of the set-up here, we want to make sure we get him back and get him fully fit.
“Joe has been superb to have around the place this summer and is a brilliant character regardless of any situation going on, Joe has been great to have around.
“It’s like with Ronan last year when we shook hands at the end and went our separate ways – and he’s managed to get a good deal off the back of that.
‘‘At the moment there is nothing pending with him, so we’ll keep monitoring that situation. But, at the minute, our focus for Joe is just getting him back fit.”

Joe Morrell would be adding to an inflated Wrexham midfield
The former Luton Town midfielder would be a great addition to the Wrexham squad. He would add quality and experience by playing at higher levels, including at international level with 37 caps for Wales.
If Morrell did arrive in North Wales, it would likely mean a midfield departure.
George Evans has signed a new contract at the club, with teammates Andy Cannon, and Elliot Lee providing a consistent midfield three for Parkinson.
The former Sunderland boss also has Jordan Davies and James Jones as options, but, if a midfield arrival does come in the summer, the 56-year-old coach may have to look to offload one of his midfield options.
