Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds have brought much success to Wrexham since they became owners in 2021.
The North American duo have been Wrexham owners for just over four years now, buying the club for £2m in February 2021.
Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney endured heartbreak in their first full season, watching the Dragons lose in the National League play-offs.
However, from the 2022/23 season onward, it has been nothing but success for the Welsh outfit.
Wrexham made history this season when they ended 2024/25 with 92 points and a third straight promotion.
Reynolds and McElhenney have allowed the Reds to break their transfer record on multiple occasions, most recently paying £2m for Sam Smith.
But another EFL owner has now suggested he won’t be using Wrexham’s model after recently taking over a club.

Gary Neville says Salford City won’t use Wrexham model
Gary Neville and a number of investors, including David Beckham, completed a takeover of Salford City earlier this month.
The Premier League legend was already involved with the North West outfit but is now looking to take them to the next level.
Neville has been discussing Salford on The Overlap Fan Debate this week, and when doing so, mentioned how they won’t be using the same model as Wrexham or Birmingham City.
He said: “We just need to change the model of the club slightly, in fact quite a bit. It’s very different than Wrexham and Birmingham – you’re talking about millions going into those clubs.
“That’s not what we’re looking to do with Salford. We want Salford to be a good football project.
“Salford City has the cheapest ticket prices in the EFL. On day one, I committed to the fans that we would be the most affordable and accessible football club. I’d rather go down than do that [be unsustainable].”

David Beckham chat with Ryan Reynolds
As already mentioned, Beckham is also part of the most recent Salford takeover.
The former Manchester United and Real Madrid star watched Wrexham in action this past season as they were beaten 3-1 by Birmingham.
And after the Salford takeover, Beckham discussed Reynolds and his admiration for the actor.
He said: “We’ve all been inspired by what Ryan Reynolds has been doing at Wrexham and I’m not saying this is why we’re doing it because it’s not.
“But I’ve spoken to Ryan about it so many times now and he said the feeling around the city, the feeling around the club, is so exceptional. That’s the kind of thing that we want to create.”
