Premier League ace Harry Wilson has responded when asked about signing for Wrexham before calling time on his career.
The Wrexham story has captured hearts and minds across the world.
We have seen Wrexham become global news thanks to Rob McElhennney and Ryan Reynolds and their 2021 takeover.
Wrexham have been able to attract players from higher up the football food chain, most notably landing Paul Mullin from Cambridge United.
Luring Ben Foster out of retirement was another coup at the time and one Premier League star has been asked if he could make the same move…
Harry Wilson on Wrexham move
Fulham winger Harry Wilson is the man in question given his emotional ties to Wrexham.
Wilson was born in Wrexham and grew up watching the club as he landed a spot in the Liverpool academy.
The Welsh international now turns out for Fulham but has kept Wrexham close to his heart.
We saw Wilson attend Wrexham’s recent draw with Milton Keynes Dons, cheering on Phil Parkinson’s side.
Wilson has now been asked about the prospect of signing for Wrexham at the age of 40 – just like Foster did.

Wilson told Stadium Astro that you can never rule it out, but isn’t even sure that Wrexham would want a 40-year-old version of him.
The wide man admitted that he still keeps an eye on Wrexham and believes the club is really on the up now.
“I think they way they’re going, I don’t think they’ll take a 40-year-old Harry Wilson!” said Wilson. “You never know, I used to go and watch when I was a kid with my uncle and my cousins and I’ve always kept an eye on them. For the last 10 years or so, it’s not been great and not been easy, but now they’ve got the backing, the feel-good factor is back and, at the moment, it just looks like the club is going in one direction – and that’s up,” he added.
It wouldn’t be a surprise to see Wilson finish his carer at Wrexham.
Wilson clearly has Wrexham close to his heart and playing a part in the McElhenney and Reynolds era would surely appeal to him.
We may have a while to wait though; Wilson is only 26 and was superb for Wales on Thursday night.
Let’s see if the timelines match up, but seeing Wilson in a Wrexham shirt would be a great sight for all to see.
