Wrexham were involved in yet another dramatic draw as they equalised in the dying minutes against Crewe Alexandra despite having a man sent off.
Striker Paul Mullin scored his first goals since recovering from a punctured lung, before new signing Steven Fletcher opened his account with a 95th-minute equaliser, with Wrexham down to 10 since Ryan Barnett’s first-half red card.
Wrexham co-owner Rob McElhenney was clearly delighted with Mullin’s return to the scoresheet, and took to social media following his spectacular overhead kick which made the score 1-1.

The It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia star had offered Mullin a place to stay when he punctured his lung in Wrexham’s pre-season tour in the USA, and was quick to share his happiness when the 28-year-old found the back of the net with an astonishing effort.
McElhenney tweeted “Heeeeeeeee’s baaaaaack!” about Mullin as soon as he scored, with his strike his first since a brace against Borehamwood in April.
With Mullin later adding to his tally with a fierce strike early in the second half, the forward has officially announced that he really is back and firing in League Two.

Mullin’s goals against Crewe ultimately proved to be crucial as the game ended 3-3, with Wrexham salvaging a point, and it seems likely that there will be more important moments to come from the attacker.
Mullin scored 46 times in 51 games last season, with it becoming quickly clear that he was too good to play at National League level, and gunning for promotion in League Two will be a great test of his ability at a higher level.
If Wrexham are to push for back-to-back promotions, then they will need Mullin to stay fit and firing like he was last season, and having such a quality attacker in his ranks is a massive boost for Phil Parkinson.
