Wrexham man, Ryan Barnett has opened up about his side and their away form which has been much worse than their amazing form at home.
It has been a great season for Wrexham which has seen them fighting at the top end of League Two in second place.
The Reds have gone from strength to strength since promotion from the National League under Phil Parkinson.
There have been many standout results so far this campaign such as the thrashings of Barrow and Morecombe.
Both of these results results have been at The Racecourse which has followed a general trend this campaign.
According to FotMob, the Reds are the best side in the whole league when it comes to picking up points at home. With 14 games played and just one defeat, the Reds have picked up a table-topping 35 points from a possible 42.
Now Wrexham wing-back, Ryan Barnett has opened up about the differences behind their home and away from his season.

Ryan Barnett on Wrexham away form
With the home form being so great, it is hard for the away form to follow suit given how successful it has been.
The away performances have certainly been at a completely different level. FotMob suggests that Wrexham’s away form has them 11th in the table.
At the time of writing, they have accrued 17 points from 13 games. This has included five draws and four defeats on the road. In total Parkinson’s side have dropped 22 points so far this campaign. Compare this to Mansfield Town in top spot, the Reds are ten points off.
With that being said, Barnett has now been discussing this with Leader Live and has opened up about potential reasons.
On that, he said: “I am not too sure. We spoke about it as a group last week and we wanted to put it right.
“We are so good at home and whether it is a slow start away or something like that and we wanted to put it right but then something like the sending off happens. We have got to go back to the drawing board and work out why.”
Last time out with Will Boyle being sent off, it was always going to be a difficult clash to navigate. This is especially as a derby match.
This is just one of the defeats and can’t be used as an excuse past that. Wrexham just play differently away from home and not even the players can put a finger on it.
It is sometimes frustrating as fans to travel to follow the side and be met with a poor performance. Hopefully this weekend against Blackburn Rovers, this trend will come to an end.
