Wrexham take on Stevenage in League One on Tuesday night with new signing Ryan Longman available for selection.

Phil Parkinson leads his Wrexham side into battle once again as Stevenage visit the STōK Cae Ras.

Wrexham drew 1-1 with Birmingham City on Thursday night and were unlucky not to claim all three points.

This was just the kind of performance Wrexham fans needed to see after the dismal defeat at Shrewsbury Town.

Wrexham are right in the League One promotion mix and a home win over Stevenage would be a huge boost to the hopes of reaching the Championship.

Wrexham confirm Ryan Longman shirt number

Parkinson now has a new face to call upon against Stevenage.

Wrexham completed the signing of Ryan Longman on Friday, luring him away from Hull City in a deal worth around £500,000.

Longman has admitted interest from Wrexham last summer but he has finally completed his move to the STōK Cae Ras.

Parkinson has decided to name Longman on the bench against Stevenage though, meaning he must wait for a first start.

Longman may well come off the bench and he has now been handed his shirt number at Wrexham.

The 24-year-old will wear number 47 at Wrexham, becoming the highest-number shirt at Wrexham – above the likes of Harry Dean, Harry Ashfield and James Rainbird.

Longman wore number 16 at Hull City, a number which is actually available at Wrexham right now.

Longman had number 29 at AFC Wimbledon and number 11 at Millwall, whilst he wore a number of different shirts at Brighton and Hove Albion.

This appears to be the first time Longman has taken number 47 though, making it a rather curious choice for Wrexham’s new man.

Wrexham confirmed lineup v Stevenage

Parkinson has named his team to face Stevenage and has gone unchanged from the side which beat Birmingham City.

Wrexham line up with Arthur Okonkwo in goal, behind a back three of Max Cleworth, Dan Scarr and Tom O’Connor.

Ryan Barnett and James McClean are the wing backs with Matty James, George Dobson and Ollie Rathbone in midfield.

Ollie Palmer leads the line in attack with Elliot Lee supporting him in the final third.

Longman takes a spot on the bench, joining Mark Howard, Eoghan O’Connell, Sebastian Revan, Paul Mullin, Steven Fletcher and Jack Marriott.

Wrexham starting XI: Okonkwo; Cleworth, Scarr, O’Connor; Barnett, James, Dobson, Rathbone, McClean; Lee, Palmer.

Wrexham substitutes: Howard, O’Connell, Revan, Longman, Mullin, Fletcher, Marriott.
