Wrexham have secured a first signing of the January transfer window with Ryan Longman completing his move from Hull City.
Wrexham fans have been watching other clubs strike important deals in the January transfer window.
Wycombe Wanderers have shopped in Europe to bolster their squad amid losing manager Matt Bloomfield to Luton Town.
Huddersfield Town splashed millions on two strikers, bringing in Joe Taylor and Dion Charles in a significant outlay.
Wrexham can’t stand still and after waiting for business, a first January signing is now on board.
Ryan Longman signed for Wrexham on Friday, completing a £500,000 move from Championship side Hull City.

Ryan Longman on Wrexham transfer
Speculation last week suggested that Wrexham were close to signing Longman having hijacked Oxford United’s move.
Wrexham completed the deal on Friday and Longman will be in contention to feature against Stevenage on Tuesday night.
Phil Parkinson will weigh up handing Longman an immediate debut and he may well be tempted having chased the 24-year-old for so long.
Reports over the summer suggested that Wrexham wanted to sign Longman following his loan spell at Millwall.
Parkinson and co certainly didn’t forget about Longman and have now made him the club’s first signing of 2025.
Speaking on Wrexham’s official YouTube channel, Longman admitted that Wrexham wanted him over the summer.
Longman knew that the interest was bubbling away in recent months but the move really heated up last week as Longman finally made his move to the STōK Cae Ras.
“Well, there was a little bit of interest in the summer,” said Longman.
“So, I know obviously it always sort of there, and the probably a week ago maybe,” he added.
Ryan Longman offers vital competition at Wrexham
Longman is a real utility man and has been used in so many positions over the course of his career.
The former Brighton and Hove Albion talent has played as a winger and wing back on both flanks whilst even playing as a striker.
Longman’s versatility adds great depth to the Wrexham squad, firstly offering quality competition for Ryan Barnett.
Barnett has been outstanding this season but Luke Bolton’s injury woes mean he has taken on a huge workload this season.
Longman can come in and feature as a right wing back or even offer another goalscoring threat up top.
Parkinson sticks to his 3-5-2 system but Longman can offer a switch of formation with his quality as a winger.
Add in that Longman would join Elliot Lee in supporting a striker and his flexibility could be absolutely vital for Wrexham moving forward.
