Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac had ambitious plans to take Wrexham into Europe, which were crushed.
Since becoming owners, Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac have wanted nothing but big things for the Red Dragons.
The duo, while it is a lofty target, want Wrexham in the Premier League by the end of 2026/27.
Meanwhile, the 2024/25 season saw the FA deal Rob and Ryan a blow in their pursuit of European football.

Wrexham’s Welsh League Cup plans were rejected by FA
Last year, it emerged that there were plans for Wrexham to compete in the Welsh League Cup.
Newport County, Swansea City and Cardiff City, all of whom feature in the English football pyramid, would have joined the Dragons in the competition.
This would have given Wrexham a clear pathway into Europe as the winner of the cup earns a place in the Europa Conference League qualifying rounds.
The prize money earned in the Europa Conference League has the potential to be huge.
However, Reynolds and Mac saw their dreams crushed when it emerged in January 2025 that Wrexham’s Welsh League Cup plans were rejected by the FA.
A statement at the time said: “Following careful consideration, taking into account various factors including equal opportunity for clubs to participate in the same competitions, for the same rewards on an equal basis; concerns raised by stakeholders regarding competition integrity, fixture congestion and player welfare, and the impact on the standing of existing competitions, the FA Board has rejected the request.”

Wrexham into Carabao Cup last-16
However, while it remains a long-shot, Wrexham are closer to qualifying for European football now than they have been in decades.
The Dragons are competing in the Carabao Cup and, unlike previous seasons, are enjoying an impressive cup run.
Wrexham beat Reading 2-0 on Tuesday, meaning they are now into the last-16 of the competition.
There are still plenty of top teams who they could face in the final rounds, but a kind draw could give the Dragons a real shot of progressing further.
The winner of the Carabao Cup earns a place in the Europa Conference League play-off rounds, which would be a dream for Reynolds and Mac.
The last-16 draw will take place on Wednesday evening and those in North Wales should be watching closely.
