Wrexham have allowed Paul Mullin to leave the club for Wigan Athletic, with Ryan Reynolds now offering his thoughts on the move.
Last Monday saw Wrexham welcome a new striker to the STōK Cae Ras.
Ryan Hardie joined Wrexham from Plymouth Argyle last week, completing a £700,000 move to North Wales.
This week, it’s a departure from Wrexham’s attacking ranks after Paul Mullin completed his move to Wigan Athletic.
Mullin has left Wrexham for a loan move to the League One side, securing a rather emotional exit after four years at the club.
Mullin has been Wrexham’s goalscoring hero since arriving from Cambridge United, but he is now saying goodbye to the Red Dragons.

Ryan Reynolds reacts to Paul Mullin’s Wrexham exit
Wrexham’s rise through the leagues has been simply incredible, with celebrity duo Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds making the headlines throughout.
Mullin was the only player to really steal the limelight from the Hollywood pair, becoming a global sensation with his Wrexham exploits.
Mullin is now a Wrexham hero for life, having racked up 110 goals for the club, but he is now on the move.
Wigan have pounced to take Mullin on loan for the season, having seen him drop down the Wrexham pecking order in 2025.
Reynolds has now taken to Instagram to share his heartfelt thoughts on Mullin departing Wrexham.
Reynolds admitted that seeing Mullin wearing another shirt is difficult for him to imagine right now.
The Wrexham co-owner added that Mullin has been so vital to Wrexham’s rise as a player and as a person, adding that everybody loves him.
‘I can’t imagine seeing Mulls on loan and in another kit. We wouldn’t be where we are without his heart, skill and work ethic. We love you, Paul Mullin. SPM’
Paul Mullin’s Wrexham brilliance in numbers
Phil Parkinson has said goodbye to Mullin, backing him to shine for Wigan this season.
This may only be a loan move for now, but few will expect to see Mullin wearing the Wrexham shirt again.
If this is the end, Mullin’s numbers and his legacy at Wrexham will stand the rest of time.
Mullin smashed 26 goals in the 2021-22 National League campaign, starting his Wrexham career in stunning fashion.
The 2022-23 campaign was even better, as Mullin racked up a ridiculous tally of 38 goals in 46 games to fire Wrexham to promotion.
Mullin started the League Two campaign slowly as he came back from injury, but still finished the season with 24 goals – and another promotion – to his name.
Three goals in Mullin’s final 26 league games for Wrexham is almost unfair, as is the fact that his last kick in a Wrexham shirt was his saved penalty against Peterborough United.
Mullin’s goalscoring numbers are simply astonishing and any of his successors will do well to come even close to his brilliance and popularity at the STōK Cae Ras.
