Wrexham have picked up another League One win having impressively brushed rivals Shrewsbury Town on Saturday afternoon.
Wrexham came into Saturday’s derby game in great spirits.
Three wins from four, three clean sheets in a row, a first away win of the campaign; Wrexham were bang in form as Shrewsbury Town made the short trip to the STōK Cae Ras.
Derby day ended up being a relative stroll for Wrexham as Ollie Palmer and Elliot Lee scored in the first half to establish a 2-0 lead.
Jack Marriott added number three after the break as Wrexham coasted home to victory – and kept another clean sheet in the process.
Four clean sheets in a row is incredible for a newly-promoted team and Wrexham are proving a tough nut to crack in League One.

Rob McElhenney is already turning his attention to Wrexham’s next outing.
McElhenney has sent a message to Tom Brady as he anticipates an ‘absolute banger’ when Wrexham travel to Birmingham City next week.
Co-owner Ryan Reynolds took a slightly different approach after Wrexham’s derby day victory over Shrewsbury Town.
Reynolds took to social media late on Saturday evening to react to Wrexham’s goal announcement for Lee’s strike.
Wrexham posted a clip of Lee turning towards a camera, shirts tucked into his shorts, shorts very high up as he gave finger guns to the camera.
We have seen these clips from other clubs in the past but this one of Lee seems to have struck a chord with Reynolds.
Reynolds simply stated ‘one of my favourite intros’, suggesting that Lee’s ranks above other Wrexham players for their social media celebrations.
Lee starting the season in style
Lee has been a key part of the Wrexham rise, thriving in League Two and League One.
Whilst Paul Mullin won the Fans’ Player of the Season award at Wrexham last season, Lee took the Players’ Player of the Season award.
Lee’s teammates certainly appreciated his performances and he is now taking last season’s form into this term.
Saturday’s goal means Lee has now hit two goals and one assist in his first five games of this season.
There had been some questions about Lee stepping up to League One again having dropped from the third tier to the National League in 2022.
Pundit Gregor Robertson has praised Lee for ‘standing out’ in League One though, suggesting that he is living up to his previous potential with Wrexham.
Lee looks set to be a key player again this season with Wrexham already seeing him make a big impact in this fine start to the season.
