Ryan Reynolds has proudly boasted Wrexham’s new kit launch on Instagram, after the Dragons revealed the kit they’ll be wearing for the upcoming 225/26 Championship season.
Summer is an exciting time for all and especially so in football: there’s transfers, pre-season tours, managerial changes, kit launches and so much more.
Right now, Wrexham are in Australia for a pre-season tour down under. There, they’ll play games against Melbourne Victory, Sydney FC and Wellington Phoenix before returning to Wales to gear up for the new season.
There’s also been transfers: Wrexham have signed Ryan Hardie and Danny Ward and Phil Parkinson is expecting many more to make the move to the Racecourse before the start of the new season in August.
Speaking from Australia, Parkinson said he’s in talks with new signings all the time, staying up until the early hours of the morning in Australia speaking to agents.
And now we’ve had a kit launch. Wrexham have revealed their new kit for the 2025/26 season, and it’s certainly garnered a strong reaction from supporters.

Wrexham fans have mixed opinions about the new kit. But there’s a lot of fans online who say they like it and so the club should feel proud about the design, especially given that it has a lot of meaning behind it too. Wrexham’s new kit is based off the one they wore in the 1981/82 season, which is the last time they played in the second tier of English football.
Posting on Instagram, co-owner Ryan Reynolds posted that he’s been ‘waiting a year for this kit to make its debut’, adding that the home jersey ‘did not disappoint’ as he proudly wears it. Fellow co-owner Rob Mac also commented on Wrexham’s new kit, posting: “Spectacular gimme 14 of them right now.”
How much does the new Wrexham home jersey cost?
The new kit is available to buy around the world. It’s officially sold in the UK, USA, Australia, Canada, and Nordic countries. But it’s certainly pricey.
The price of Wrexham’s new home jersey is a staggering $119 (£87) and for the long sleeve version it’s $129 (£95).
Football jerseys aren’t cheap these days. But even this seems a little bit steep, though it may be seen as a chance to really grow revenue for the club this summer, as Mac and Reynolds may expect shirt sales to increase globally following promotion to the Championship.
And expect Wrexham fans to want a shirt regardless of the price. It’s a nice shirt for many and despite the price tag, it’s a shirt that represents the incredible journey that the club has been on in the last few years.
