There is no doubt how popular the show has been with it being well received on Disney+ and Hulu amongst other platforms.
This has been one of many factors, alongside Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, that has grown the club’s profile worldwide. Audiences in America have certainly grown and now many fans make the trip over to North Wales.
For those who can’t make the long journey, ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ is the closest thing to that experience you can get. Now there have been questions regarding the future of the series.
In an interview with The Athletic, Harvey has now opened up on his side of the story and gives fans some insight.
On that, he said: “This isn’t my area of expertise, but logic says that if things are successful then they tend to continue. The show is a success because it is genuine and authentic.
“More importantly, it is relatable. Relatable to the majority of people watching it in a way they can pick things in their world that they recognise through the show. That, to me, is why Welcome To Wrexham has been such a success. The producers and everyone involved deserve huge credit.”
Although this may not be the concrete answer that Wrexham fans are after, it does point toward a continued return. This level of praise coming from Harvey, a club director, can only be a good thing for its future.
With Harvey saying this there can be hope from fans of the Reds far and wide that they will get their Racecourse insight.
