Wrexham invested heavily this summer to bring in quality suited to the Championship due to their sharp rise through the English pyramid; however, this has drawn criticism from one Stoke City star and former transfer target of the Red Dragons.
The Welsh club brought in 13 new signings to the Racecourse Ground as Wrexham spent £33 million to do so.
It has taken time for the new signings to bed into the team; however, Phil Parkinson has seemingly discovered the tactical shape required to be successful at this level with his side.
Parkinson may alter this Wrexham approach for Stoke due to the options at his disposal now after the international break.
Yet, one Potters star is critical of the transfer policy of the Red Dragons this summer, as he spoke ahead of their clash.

Aaron Cresswell does not believe huge investment breeds success in the Championship
Aaron Cresswell had been a Wrexham summer transfer target, but due to the Red Dragons dithering over the deal, they failed to bring him to the Racecourse Ground.
He would end up joining Stoke, and now Cresswell can be a thorn in the side of Wrexham this weekend when the two teams face each other in the Championship.
However, the experienced full-back does not appear to be the biggest fan of the Welsh club, with his latest comments to Stoke on Trent Live not being a fan of the raised expectations of the club after their summer investment.
He said: “I think they [Wrexham] had a poor start to the season. I think the expectation of them, they’ve obviously spent a lot of money.

“They’ve brought in a lot of quality players, and as everyone knows, the Championship’s not that easy to just go and spend a lot of money and automatically buy your way out of it.
“I don’t think they would have expected that; it’s not really our business to be talking about Wrexham.
“I’m more concentrated on us, and I know come Saturday hopefully we can come away with three points.”
Aaron Cresswell believes the atmosphere will be key at the Wrexham and Stoke City clash
Phil Parkinson spoke after the Derby County draw about just how impressed he was by the atmosphere of the Racecourse Ground due to the impact it has on his team but also the fear it sends down the spine of the opposition.
Cresswell is hoping for a similar impact from the Stoke fans this weekend as they look to earn their 12th league win over Wrexham, an impressive number of victories, as this will be their 13th encounter, not counting cup competitions.
He said, “It [the atmosphere] has been fantastic, and I was a little bit surprised. But I think it’s down to the players in the squad to give the fans something to shout about, to get excited about.
“I felt like we have done that in every game and been really competitive at home, and we have got to keep it going.
“I think the stadium this season’s maybe taken a lot of people by surprise in terms of the atmosphere.
“We certainly need their support, not just this weekend, throughout the whole season.
“Touching on the away support as well, I think that’s been incredible. Every game we’ve played in this season, they’re certainly behind us and helping us.”
