Wrexham fans have experienced a rare Saturday off this weekend as the wait continues for Monday’s clash with Birmingham City.
As the League One results came in on Saturday evening, Wrexham fans were able to enjoy sitting top of the League One table.
Stockport County and Lincoln City both drew on Saturday as Wrexham remain top of the tree right now.
The anticipation is building though as Wrexham prepare for an enormous game against Birmingham City on Monday night.
Phil Parkinson has dropped just two points so far this season but now faces a tough challenge against the big-spending Blues.
Birmingham have spent massively over the summer and can go level on points with Wrexham if they win on Monday night.

Tom Brady sends message to Wrexham
This is a meeting between two teams who have, let’s be honest, irritated many other EFL clubs.
Birmingham and Wrexham are showing real ambition but that means paying decent wages and, in Birmingham’s case, some pretty hefty fees.
The two sides also have North American investment and even some celebrity backing.
Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds have changed Wrexham’s fortunes whilst legendary NFL quarterback Tom Brady is involved at Birmingham City.
McElhenney messaged Brady immediately after last week’s win over Shrewsbury Town, ramping up the anticipation for Monday’s game.
Wrexham have even brought former New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning – Brady’s nemesis in two Super Bowls – into the mix by handing him some of this season’s home shirts.
Brady has now responded on social media, posting a video of himself in Birmingham gear whilst boasting his incredible Super Bowl record.
Brady called on Philadelphia Eagles fan McElhenney to ‘educate the Wrexham fans’ on the history of the NFL, highlighting his legendary status in the game.
“So I’ve been working on a little response video to Eli and I’m looking around the house, but I can’t find the other six of these,” joked Brady.
“Rob, can you just educate the Wrexham fans just a little bit on the history of the NFL? Thanks bud, appreciate you, see you Monday,” he added.
Phil Parkinson won’t pay attention to celebrity squabbling
Imagine being told just five years ago that Tom Brady would be involved in a Birmingham City v Wrexham game in League One.
The whole thing sounds bonkers but that is the reality Wrexham are living in right now.
We have seen it all now; Rotherham United boss Steve Evans has even compared Wrexham to the Harlem Globetrotters.
Yet away from the celebrities, who no doubt play into other fans not exactly liking Birmingham or Wrexham, there is Phil Parkinson and his team of players ready to face off against the Blues.
Parkinson and his Wrexham side are the complete opposite of the glitz and glamour; they are tough, battle-tested and ready to go to war.
Parkinson won’t care about who gets bragging rights between McElhenney and Brady, but will be preparing his Wrexham side for the toughest examination so far this season.
We have seen how good Wrexham can be this season and if this incredible run of clean sheets can continue, Brady’s Monday night may well be ruined.
