Wrexham’s phenomenal start to life back in the English Football League (RFL) continues, with what was arguably their greatest result of the season on the road at Notts County.
Phil Parkinson has said that Wrexham’s 2-0 win over Notts County at the weekend was one of his best days as a manager.
Second-half goals from Elliot Lee and Ollie Palmer were enough to grant the Red Dragons a fantastic win which propels them up to 30 points, third in the league and level with the opponents they just beat.
The fabulous performance warranted two Wrexham names to feature in the EFL Team of the Week

Two Wrexham names feature in the EFL Team of the Week
Alongside a list of star-studded EFL names, manager Phil Parkinson and midfielder Elliot Lee have both been included in the EFL Team of the Week.
Bear in mind, that this is a combined XI for the EFL – which includes the Championship, League 1 and Wrexham’s division – League 2.
This is a pretty remarkable affair to have two names included – but Parkinson and Lee deserve it, the both played their part.
Parkinson and Lee deserve their spots
Both were integral to victory on the weekend.
Phil Parkinson: Parkinson’s quick thinking and fantastic tactical choices definitely got Wrexham the victory.
The Dragons suffered a number of injuries against County, with Ryan Barnett, Eoghan O’Connell, and Jordan Tunnicliffe all picking up knocks.
Yet Parkinson still found a way to get the best out of the players he brought on. Great stuff from Parky.
Elliot Lee: This man is simply sensational.
Possibly Wrexham’s best player this year, Lee was once again brilliant at County. He was dangerous throughout and got the brilliant opener for the Red Dragons.
That was the 28-year-old’s 10th of the season in the league. He’s ace.
