Christian Eriksen has been linked with a blockbuster move to Wrexham, and based on what his former coaches have said about him, he could revolutionise Phil Parkinson’s side.

Wrexham are set to stretch their lofty budget this summer as Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac look to significantly bolster Phil Parkinson’s team.

Following last season’s promotion, it was clear that Wrexham had to significantly improve their squad in order to compete at Championship level, and they have done just that.

Wrexham have already signed Josh Windass and Lewis O’Brien – two proven Championship talents, as well as Ryan Hardie from Plymouth Argyle. Liberato Cacace and Danny Ward have also joined.

Wrexham have now been linked with an ambitious move for Christian Eriksen, a move that has left many Red Dragons fans excited, particularly when looking at what his former coaches have said about him.

What Ruben Amorim said about Wrexham target Christian Eriksen

Christian Eriksen’s time at Man United recently came to an end, where he played under Ruben Amorim.

The Portuguese boss did not always utilise the Dane, who had entered the swan song of his career, but he has still previously heaped praise on Eriksen.

As quoted by The Mirror, Amorim said: “He has the quality to make that kind of pass and we need all the players to win games, 10 minutes or 90 minutes all the players are important to change the course of the season.”

It is safe to say that Amorim’s views on Eriksen hold a lot of substance, with it reflecting the ability of the midfielder in recent times, suggesting that his impeccable playmaking abilities would benefit Wrexham if he joined.

Erik Ten Hag once noted Christian Eriksen’s ‘impact’

During his time at Man United, Christian Eriksen also played under Erik Ten Hag, who managed the midfielder for 83 games.

Despite being in the latter stages of his career, the 33-year-old continued to make a difference for the Red Devils, and that was noted by the Dutch boss.

When Ten Hag was asked if he was surprised about Eriksen’s impact at the club, via the Man United club website, he replied: “No. I know him for a long time because everyone knows he can develop in Ajax, so I knew him from the Netherlands but also when we faced him. As a manager we faced him, so I know his capabilities and I was so happy that we could sign him. I think he proved from the first day how important he is to our game.”

It is safe to say that Eriksen has left a positive mark at every club he has played for, giving Wrexham owners all the more reason to go all-in on the Premier League legend.
