Wrexham are looking to make it three promotions in a row under Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.
After an unexpected break, the Red Dragons are set to return to League One action on Thursday evening.
Wrexham take on Shrewsbury Town in a cross-border derby that is likely to prove a feisty affair.
Despite having the weekend off, Phil Parkinson’s men have managed to maintain third place in the League One table.
They have earned 51 points from their opening 25 matches and are currently only behind Wycombe Wanderers – who sit second – due to their worse goal difference.
Automatic promotion is a real possibility this season and that is in large part due to what Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have done at the club since their arrival in 2021.

Ryan Barnett makes Wrexham squad point
It’s crazy to think that Wrexham were still a National League side in 2023 but could now end this season with a place in the Championship.
A big reason for the club’s ability to rise up the EFL ladder in the last few years has been the quality of their squad.
Lower-league football brings with it a hectic schedule and this often leads to a lot of injuries and players struggling.
However, Rob and Ryan have allowed Parkinson to build one of the most well-rounded teams in the third tier.
And when speaking recently, as per Leader Live, Ryan Barnett was quick to highlight the quality of Wrexham’s squad.
He said: “We’ve got so much quality in this dressing room and so many more levels that we can go to and that’s exciting with half of the season left.
“The squad that the club have assembled is really strong, especially for this league.
“When people get injured or loss of form, other people come in and the quality doesn’t really change because that’s the kind of characters and players that we’ve brought in.”

Reynolds and McElhenney need a lot of credit for the backing they have given to Wrexham in the last couple of years.
Their support has continued into the 2024/25 campaign with three free agents all handed contracts to ensure Parkinson’s side remained well-stocked despite some injury concerns.
Now, in the same interview, Barnett stated his belief that the Welsh outfit are still yet to hit their ceiling.
He said: “I still don’t think we’ve hit our ceiling yet. We’ve had a good start but we’ve just got to keep taking it game by game and see where we end up.
Barnett added: “Ever since I’ve joined there’s been so many highs, it couldn’t have gone any better if I’m totally honest.
“I’ve loved it. We’ve got a great camaraderie in the dressing room, I feel at home here and long may it continue.”
