Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson continues to drive the club forward and he seemingly isn’t going anywhere any time soon.
The October international break is coming to an end and Wrexham fans will be looking forward to league action again.
Wrexham’s 4-1 home win over Northampton Town feels like an age ago as international football took centre stage.
Phil Parkinson takes his side on the road again this weekend as Wrexham face a trip to Rotherham United.
Millers boss Steve Evans keeps calling Wrexham the ‘Harlem Globetrotters’ but that flashy nature isn’t really aligned with Parkinson.
Wrexham are so strong and hard to beat under Parkinson and long may that continue after an impressive start to life in League One.

Shaun Harvey on Phil Parkinson future
Wrexham fans will forever be grateful to Parkinson for the work he has done over the last three years.
It’s one thing having the celebrity ownership, but you still need somebody to pull it all together on the pitch.
Parkinson has absolutely done that and continues to get results as Wrexham move up through the leagues.
It’s difficult to see this reign ending any time soon; Wrexham fans love Parkinson, he’s getting results and there surely aren’t many clubs who could tempt him away from this project.
Wrexham director Shaun Harvey has now commented on Parkinson’s future and shared details on his contract at the STōK Cae Ras.
Speaking to The Leader, Harvey noted that Parkinson’s contract situation hasn’t actually changed since his arrival.
Parkinson remains on a rolling contract and Harvey believes that fans should be happy with that given its success so far.
Harvey has no concerns about Parkinson leaving and is happy for Parkinson to continue on his current arrangement.
“Phil’s contracted approach hasn’t changed since the day he arrived,” said Harvey.
“We made a commitment to Phil to get him to come to the club and that commitment still remains in place today. He’s on a rolling contract and that continues until either party decides it is not going to.
“And for anybody who has got any concerns about it, we can only point towards the success we have had so far,” he added.
Wrexham have been perfect for Phil Parkinson
This Wrexham journey has been incredible for everybody involved, but especially Parkinson.
Parkinson endured a difficult time at Bolton Wanderers as the club’s off-field struggles impact the on-field results.
The Trotters suffered relegation in 2019 and Parkinson moved on to Sunderland, where he lasted just over a year.
Parkinson’s move to the Stadium of Light just never quite paid off and he was axed in November 2020 after winning less than 40% of his games.
Parkinson needed a project to really get his teeth into with backing from both ownership and fans after difficult times at Bolton and Sunderland.
Wrexham offered him that chance and, whilst Harvey remembers early moans and groans, Parkinson has now won back-to-back promotions and is chasing a third.
There is more to come for Parkinson and Wrexham and it’s no surprise to see Harvey wanting to continue this successful marriage.
