Wrexham have one huge advantage in the race for League One promotion in that they have one of the best squad depths in the division.
Phil Parkinson was devastated to learn that Andy Cannon has suffered a ruptured acl against Mansfield Town and the midfielder will be out of action for between six to nine months.
Wrexham do have a variety of options to replace Cannon in the side with the likes Elliot Lee returning to fitness and Matty James an experienced professional at this level.
The same can be said for the forward position and the luxury for the manager of choosing between seven players that would comfortably get in most League One sides. That can also cause some unrest and Parkinson faces some difficult decisions every single matchday.

Wrexham expert makes devastating prediction about Paul Mullin
Speaking on the latest episode of the Rob.Ryan.Red. podcast, journalist and Wrexham expert Rich Fay has made a harrowing prediction about Paul Mullin’s career at the Racecourse Ground.
Fay stated: “Mullin now, given we are reaching the end game of the season, we don’t have Vertu Trophy, we do only have League One fixtures now, there is a sole focus for Wrexham.
“Paul Mullin misses the penalty kick. How many more kicks do you think he gets in a Wrexham shirt? I think he’s in a battle just to make the bench every week.”
Missing a spot kick for a chance to go to Wembley would be a cruel way to end such an illustrious career in North Wales and supporters will be hoping that the Wrexham legend can regain fitness and form and still have a say in Wrexham’s promotion push.
Ollie Palmer may also have kicked his last ball for Wrexham
Another sad fact for the club is that fellow striker Ollie Palmer may also have kicked his last ball for the club following the January arrivals of Sam Smith and Jay Rodriguez.
The selection of Jack Marriott and Modou Faal in the EFL Trophy semi final suggests that Palmer is now seventh in the striker pecking order after not even making the matchday squad.

It is now five matchday squads in a row that Palmer hasn’t featured in and he hasn’t played in the league since the 3-2 home defeat to Stevenage at the end of January.
With the goals, memories and commitment that Mullin and Palmer have given to Wrexham over the years it would not feel right for the duo to bow out in such underwhelming fashion.
