Another Hollywood weekend for Wrexham, as they had a dramatic 3-2 win against Salford. It was a terrible start, which led to an impeccable comeback.
They went 2-0 down inside the first 36 minutes, but thankfully Elliott Lee got one back going into the break. Then in a tense second half, it took until the 87th minute to get the equaliser, with veteran forward Steven Fletcher coming from the bench to tap one home.
Then, remarkably, another substitute won it. Just a minute later, Jordan Davies’ left-footed strike sent the Racecourse into absolute delirium.
These two subs were inspired and it shows Wrexham have something managers, particularly in the EFL are all desperate for.

Wrexham’s secret weapon this season
Phil Parkinson has the privilege of having immense squad depth in all areas in his Wrexham side.
The fact Wrexham in League 2 could bring on the calibre of Fletcher and Davies is absolutely insane.
They proved just how strong the second string is in midweek when they absolutely battered Crewe Alexandra in midweek.
This is what gets you through the season. With the games coming thick and fast, a vast amount of players is a necessity. Wrexham have it in abundance.
Jordan Davies on Wrexham’s squad depth
The man who got the winner at the weekend spoke about this privilege and also the fact that he was more than happy to be on the fringe.
“Essentially, we have two XIs,” the 25-year-old tells The Athletic. “The gaffer has done really well to recruit the players to fill those two XIs. If someone is not playing well or gets injured, we have people capable of stepping in for every position.
“That can only serve us well going forward. Training every day is incredible. Even if the starters aren’t playing, the level is sky-high. Standards are top-notch. That comes from the togetherness we have here.
“There are 24 people here, all champing at the bit to play. Things do seem to be coming together now. Pre-season wasn’t ideal, with the schedule in America and Paul Mullin’s injury. That had a psychological effect on the team because we lost our top scorer.
“But now we feel to be getting people back fit, getting people back in form and the best is yet to come.”
We hope you’re right, Jordan!
