While Wrexham were busy throwing away a lead against Bristol Rovers, one former player managed to get himself on the scoresheet in impressive fashion.
Wrexham could only manage a 1-1 draw against Bristol Rovers on Saturday afternoon, with wastefulness in front of goal costing the Red Dragons dearly.
The point keeps Phil Parkinson’s side in the hunt at the top of the League One table, but could prove to be a vital two points dropped in the long-term.
Meanwhile, one Wrexham legend hit the headlines for his new club, scoring a brilliant free-kick to help his team grab an important point on the road.

Luke Young does it again from dead ball situation
Luke Young left Wrexham in the summer after six incredible years of service, joining League Two outfit Cheltenham Town on a free transfer.
On Saturday afternoon, he bagged his fourth goal of the season for his new club, with a sublime first-half free-kick to get Cheltenham back on level terms.
From a sharp angle on the left side of the pitch, roughly 25 yards out, Young whipped in a ferocious dead-ball strike that found its way into the top corner of the Gillingham goal.
Luke Young’s “delightful” effort sparked a mini comeback for Cheltenham, who went on to take the lead in the second half before being pegged back themselves.
It’s the kind of goal Wrexham fans will remember well from Young’s time at the Racecourse Ground, and one they may be wishing they could still see this season.

Are Wrexham missing Luke Young?
The decision to let Young go was a ‘devastating’ one for Rob McElhenney and the powers that be at Wrexham, but ultimately, it was the right one.
The Red Dragons have thrived over the last few years by making those difficult decisions and ensuring the Wrexham squad evolves and improves in line with the club’s rise through the Football League.
While Young was an impeccable servant for Wrexham during his time with the club, the difficult truth is that the midfielder was not right for where Parkinson’s side were going and with all due respect, he would not have been at the quality needed for League One.
Still, at least fans got an emotional reunion with Young recently when he attended the Racecourse for a game. What he did over the years will never be forgotten, and it’s great that Wrexham can still celebrate his success at Cheltenham, too.
