Wrexham co-owner Ryan Reynolds, as always, has shown a great deal of decorum following the FA Cup win over Yeovil today.

Since purchasing the club in 2020, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have done so much right and gained so many plaudits.

They have plenty of love for Wrexham, whether that be the club or the local area; shown most recently by an advert made by Reynolds in recent weeks.

Under the stewardship of the Hollywood duo off the pitch, and Phil Parkinson on it, things have gone rather well.

The Reds currently sit second in League Two but this week saw a break, as the FA Cup came to The Racecourse this weekend.

A 3-0 win over Yeovil, thanks to goals from Ollie Palmer, Andy Cannon and Sam Dalby, secured their place in the next round. This saw one co-owner make a respectful statement to the opposition.

What has Ryan Reynolds said?

Following every game that Wrexham play, Reynolds always posts to his Instagram story with an image and message.

Following today’s win you may suspect that he would post a message praising his side for their performance and progress in the FA Cup. This couldn’t have been further from the case.

The Wrexham owner decided to use his huge social platform to show his support for the opposition.

On that, he said: “Not Yeovil Town’s day today, but I love seeing how well they’re doing in their league. A fantastic team. Nice to see Jake Hyde out there.”

It has been a tough few years for Yeovil, as they have dropped from the Championship to National League South in no time.

Following his takeover of Wrexham, Reynolds has often championed the National League and has helped bring more eyes to the competition. It is clear that he still indulges in English non-league, as he discussed the league leaders after their clash with the Reds.

Another heartwarming touch from Reynolds was a shoutout for former Wrexham star Jake Hyde. The Englishman signed for the club in 2021 and stayed for two years but failed to truly find his feet. With just 14 appearances and three goals in that time, he moved on as Wrexham achieved promotion.

It is great to see that Reynolds remembers and wants to see the best for former players. To see a lower-league journeyman shouted out on a huge Instagram is still quite surreal.
