Wrexham have now posted a photo of midfielder George Evans in training as he ramps up his return from injury.

Nine games to go, how are everybody’s nerves?

Wrexham could only manage a 0-0 draw with Harrogate Town on Tuesday night, missing a chance to make it three wins in a row.

Still, Wrexham sit second in League Two and are in a great position to secure promotion to League One.

Phil Parkinson has already been given a boost after confirming that midfielder George Evans is back on the grass and training again.

Evans hasn’t played for Wrexham since the 2-1 win at Sutton United on the 13th of February.

The 29-year-old is now ramping up his return – and has been pictured in training today.

Wrexham post George Evans photo

Wrexham have been in training today, ahead of this weekend’s game against Tranmere Rovers.

The club’s official X account have now posted a photo of Evans in training, leaving fans hugely excited about his return.

This doesn’t necessarily mean that he will start against Tranmere this weekend, but his return comes at a good time with James McClean facing a suspension.

The former Manchester City talent was a hugely important signing from Millwall back in September.

A player with vast Championship experience, Evans still has plenty left in the tank and has shown his quality in League Two.

Evans no doubt joined Wrexham in the belief that he could quickly secure promotion to League One.

Well, now his injury is healing, Evans has the chance to make a huge impact between now and the end of the season.

Evans will still have to force his way back into the side, but most would agree that Wrexham’s best side features Evans in it – and we may not be far away from seeing him in action again.
