Wrexham have some truly amazing talent coming out of their youth ranks right now.
Red Dragons fans will already be very familiar with 18-year-old sensation Harry Ashfield.
The Wrexham native has shone at youth level and is now looking to break into the first-team picture.
One expert has urged the club not to sell Ashfield after he recently started seeing some deserved minutes at senior level.
But the versatile midfielder is not the only rising star looking to make a name for himself at the Racecourse Ground in the coming years.
Wrexham’s Reserves beat Notts County 3-0 in a Central League meeting on Tuesday evening, moving them up to eighth in the division.
Dafydd Edwards, Sam Chesworth, and Rio Owen got on the scoresheet for Wrexham, and the latter of that trio has been in sensational form this season.

Rio Owen is excelling for Wrexham Reserves
Born in Bangor, Wales, Owen has been on Wrexham’s books since 2016 but has really come into his own in the last two seasons.
2023/24 saw the forward score a very respectable nine goals in 18 appearances at youth level for the Hollywood-owned club.
This campaign is where the teenager has really shone, however, with Owen completely dominating the goalscoring charts.
His effort against Notts County now means he’s on 20 goals from just 31 appearances across all competitions this season.
Granted, it’s obviously not as challenging when playing against fellow youth teams, but the 17-year-old clearly has a key keen for the back of the net.

Rio Owen could be Wrexham’s next Paul Mullin
Paul Mullin has been at Wrexham for nearly four years now and has scored over 100 goals.
However, Parkinson has been snubbing Mullin in 2025, not giving the striker any minutes in the club’s last six league matches.
His form prior to being axed had also taken a dive, only finding the back of the net three times in League One.
Replacing a player like Mullin, who up until 2024/25 was a prolific goalscorer, is never easy, but if he can carry his current form into the senior team, Owen could well be the man to do it.
Sam Smith did arrive from Reading in January with 11 goals to his name but he has so far only scored once in a Wrexham shirt.
