Wrexham are on their way to becoming a real force in the English Football League.
Fighting for their third successive promotion, Wrexham know that victory over Bolton Wanderers at the Racecourse Ground could move them level on points with the automatic promotion places in League One.
Off the pitch, plans are in place for the new Kop Stand and ground redevelopments whilst there will already be talks ongoing over potential summer signings.
Chief executive Michael Williamson wants a new training ground in order to attract a better quality of player but one Wrexham expert has highlighted a player that should not be sold as part of the club’s ongoing project.

Wrexham expert reveals why Harry Ashfield must not be sold
Speaking on the latest episode of the Rob.Ryan.Red podcast, journalist and Wrexham expert Rich Fay was full of praise for Harry Ashfield’s performance against Peterborough United and explained the excitement around the academy prospect.
Fay stated: “We used to have to develop players, to sell them, to keep the club afloat. How exciting is it now that we can have a young player who comes through? We don’t have to sell him.”
Ashfield’s emergence into the Wrexham first-team squad has been a bonus for Phil Parkinson this season and Fay believes he should be kept at the club to further develop.
Fay explained: “There isn’t really the incentive do so anymore like there used to be when the academy was our money maker. It kept the club going really. It was the heartbeat of the club.
“But because our player pool is so big now, we don’t have to look at academy players to be the solutions all the time.”
Ashfield could be midfield option in Andy Cannon’s absence
Parkinson revealed Ashfield could replace Andy Cannon in Wrexham’s midfield and the 18-year-old did his chances no harm with an excellent performance in the role during the semi final defeat.
Rich Fay also agrees with Parkinson and stated: “I’m not expecting Harry Ashfield to get a lot of minutes but what I would say is at least to me he fills a void.”

Ashfield scored his first professional goal against Port Vale in the EFL Trophy last-16 in January but playing in his more familiar striker role.
However, Wrexham fans were impressed with Ashfield against Peterborough and he certainly provides Parkinson with something different in that trouble midfield area.
