Wrexham are shooting Super Bowl adverts alongside preparation for their EFL Trophy quarter Final and League One promotion push.

Things are rarely dull at the Racecourse Ground these days and following the takeover of the club by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, there has certainly been a ‘Hollywood’ feel to the club.

Wrexham were involved in a Super Bowl advert, where Channing Tatum revealed he was scared of Steven Fletcher during production of the advert.

Tatum has stated he wants to stay in ‘magic’ Wrexham forever following multiple trips to North Wales and a key defender has been speaking about the experience of acting alongside a Hollywood superstar.

Max Cleworth reveals the Wrexham squad were nervous before shooting advert with Channing Tatum

Speaking to the Men in Blazers, Wrexham defender Max Cleworth has been speaking about how the squad felt upon meeting Channing Tatum in order to shoot the Super Bowl advert.

Cleworth stated: “We had met him two days before so there wasn’t the shock of meeting him or anything. But then he was dead good with us he said there’s nothing I’m going to make you do to make you feel uncomfortable or if you don’t want to do anything that’s fine.”

The 22-year-old then spoke about the nerves the Wrexham squad felt at having to do something outside of their normal comfort zone.

Cleworth explained: “When someone asks you to do something in front of a camera, I still find it nervous really but he definitely made us feel at ease doing it.”

Cleworth should start in a strong Wrexham line up against Bolton in the EFL Trophy

Cleworth started in the last-16 win over Port Vale but was the only survivor from the previous League One game against Crawley Town.

The Red Dragons are just two wins away from Wembley and the chance of winning the EFL Trophy for the first time since 2005.

Phil Parkinson should be looking to take advantage of a Bolton injury crisis as he can pick a side mixed with players in need of minutes and reliable figures to get the job done professionally.

The game presents a chance for Ryan Longman to continue his fine start and perhaps for duo Sam Smith and Jay Rodriguez to further integrate themselves into the Wrexham set up.
