Wrexham striker Paul Mullin has enjoyed an incredible season, with the Liverpudlian now topping the League Two charts for another statistic.

In the case of Wrexham, Paul Mullin has been their talismanic figure for the past three seasons since arriving from Cambridge United.
Having recently broken into the top 10 Wrexham scorers of all-time with 105 goals, the Liverpudlian has reached incredible heights at the Racecourse Ground.
After firing Phil Parkinson‘s men to a National League title last term, Mullin has continued where he left off this season, plundering an impressive 24 goals in 37 League Two appearances, including 14 in his previous 12 matches.
The 29-year-old is an unbelievable talisman, with former Wrexham striker Lee Trundle claiming he could comfortably play in the Championship.

Despite missing the first eight games of the campaign with a punctured lung, Mullin is second in the League Two scoring charts, trailing Notts County’s Macaulay Langstaff by four goals.
If he didn’t miss the opening part of the season, with Elliot Lee shouldering that responsibly, perhaps the Englishman would have finished top.
Mullin ranks first in the division for minutes per goal, scoring once every 122 minutes for the Reds, placing him above Bradford’s Jake Young, MK Dons Max Dean and teammate Steven Fletcher.

Mullin topping this particular statistic shows he’s the most consistent finisher of chances, boasting an impressive goal-conversion rate of 21% while creating seven big chances.
Paul Mullin needs a new partner in League One
In Wrexham’s system, Parkinson deploys a second striker alongside Mullin to essentially help him feed off flick-ons and clever movement in behind.
Ollie Palmer, in particular, has struck up a telepathic partnership with the Liverpudlian and the Reds are yet to lose when that duo started together.
With Palmer, Sam Dalby and Steven Fletcher all potentially leaving the club this summer, Parkinson needs to sign a new striker to partner Mullin.
The Reds were linked with Peterborough United goal-getter Jonson Clarke-Harris in January, and he’d be an “outstanding” signing to make given his pedigree in League One.
Clarke-Harris is one, but there are plenty of players the club should be looking at to bolster their striking options and that will be one of Wrexham’s many priorities this summer.
