Wrexham clinched a second consecutive promotion on Saturday by thrashing Forest Green Rovers 6-0.
The Reds are currently deep in celebration, but once the dust settles and Phil Parkinson realises they’re a League One club next season, there’s a lot of work to be done in the transfer market.
It was reported that Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds have a threshold of £6 million in wages to spend, placing them near the top end of third-tier budgets.
The Hollywood duo can use their financial muscle and status as global superstars to attract some quality talent to the Racecourse Ground, just like they did when they brought James McClean and Steven Fletcher to the club last summer.
McElhenney and Reynolds will be expected to splash the cash, but bargains are available on a free transfer, including a League One goal machine.

Wrexham were linked with Peterborough United striker Jonson Clarke-Harris in January.
The 29-year-old sees his contract at the Posh expire this summer and given his goal-scoring exploits in recent seasons, he’s likely to attract significant interest.
Lauded as “outstanding” by Peterborough boss Darren Ferguson, Clarke-Harris is one of the deadliest strikers in the third tier, plundering an impressive 107 goals in 276 League One appearances.
The powerful forward will have a long list of potential suitors, as several Championship and League One clubs aim to bolster their forward line.
Wrexham should use their pulling power and financial muscle to lure Clarke-Harris to the Racecourse Ground and form a potentially deadly partnership with Paul Mullin.
Paul Mullin needs a new strike partner
Although Wrexham currently have five strikers on their books, some will leave the club this summer.
Fletcher, 37, is expected to depart once his contract expires, while Ollie Palmer and Sam Dalby aren’t good enough to play in the third tier.
This leaves Mullin and Jack Marriott, with the Liverpool-born goal machine crying out for a new strike partner.
Throughout this campaign Parkinson has chopped and changed his partner for the 29-year-old, often switching between Fletcher and Palmer.
As Wrexham embark on their new chapter in League One, bringing Clarke-Harris in to partner Mullin should be a priority for the club this summer.
Between that deadly striking duo, they boast ammunition that most clubs at this level should fear, especially with Marriott waiting in the wings.
If they did manage to capture Clarke-Harris, who has scored 52 goals in his last three campaigns, it would show their intent to challenge towards the top.
