Wrexham star, Elliot Lee has been linked with a January transfer move and Carlton Palmer believes Championship clubs may come knocking.
So far this season, Lee has scored ten and assisted two for Wrexham in a blockbuster start to life in League Two.
Following his release from Luton Town last year, Phil Parkinson managed to convince the midfielder to join the Reds.
In his first campaign, he played a big role as automatic promotion back into the EFL was secured.

After a great season last time and an extremely positive start to the current one, clubs are circling around the Englishman.
What has Carlton Palmer said about Elliot Lee?
Speaking to Football League World, Palmer has admitted that he believes clubs in higher leagues may be interested in Lee.
The former England international made 594 senior appearances across a career that spanned over 29 years.
On rumours linking him away, Palmer said: “In my opinion, Lee is a championship-level player playing in a lower division, so it’s no surprise to me that he’s attracting the attention of Championship clubs.
“However, Championship clubs would have to make an unrefusable offer as Wrexham are ambitious, financially backed and under no pressure to sell.”
With the form that the midfielder is showing this season, Parkinson won’t want to see one of his stars depart
With that being said, Palmer doesn’t think Lee would leave: “I’d be surprised if Lee wanted to leave Wrexham at this point, as they are on a mission and are looking to complete back-to-back promotions.”
Following the Reds’ win over Gillingham, they now sit in second place in League Two with promotion a realistic prospect.
Lee has been one of the best players in the league this season and Wrexham will not want to lose him at any cost.
