The reputation of Wrexham is growing in America, and Ryan Reynolds should use that to his advantage whenn attracting players.
With the Wrex Coast Tour underway, Wrexham have returned to the United States for pre-season.
The club’s US fanbase is ever-growing with many players shocked at the impact Wrexham has had over the pond.
The Hollywood owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have already sanctioned moves for Arthur Okonkwo, Lewis Brunt, George Dobson, Callum Burton, and Sebastian Revan.
However, the Red Dragons remain keen to add further additions to Phil Parkinson’s squad ahead of the 2024/25 League One campaign.
It may be a struggle to see MLS players arrive in League One but in the coming years, if Wrexham achieve promotion to the Championship, the ownership has a unique opportunity.
With great interest in the North Wales club in the States, Wrexham owners Reynolds and McElhenney should look at several MLS wonderkids that could become Wrexham stars and help the club continue its rise in the EFL.

If Wrexham are successful in the next couple of years the club may gain Championship status.
It would be seen as an amazing feat by the ownership to have taken the club from the National to the second tier of English football.
With Championship status, the ability to bring in extra quality and talent from around the globe is much easier.
With Wrexham’s US interest, the club should consider several wonder kids impressing in the states…
Brian Gutierrez
Brian Gutierrez is an American attacking midfielder, who is also capable of playing out wide. The five-foot-ten midfielder is a clever dribbler capable of creating chances for his teammates.
Gutierrez is only 21 years old and has made 108 appearances for MLS side Chicago Fire. In the current MLS campaign, the homegrown talent has eight goal contributions in 23 games.
He is yet to feature for the US national team but is showing great promise this season. With his attacking abilities and room for growth Gutierrez could be an option for Wrexham to consider in the future.
John Tolkin
John Tolkin is an American wing-back, who can also play behind the striker. His attacking abilities could suit Parkinson’s system, and would provide strong competition for summer signing Revan.
Tolkin, 21, has impressed during his time in the MLS with the New York Red Bulls. The US defender has made 105 appearances for the MLS side and has scored on six occasions.
The youngster has featured for the US national team on four occasions.
It may be a tough transfer for Wrexham to achieve, but if the Red Dragons did secure promotion to the Championship, the club could take a look at the promising defender.
Reed Baker-Whiting
Reed Baker-Whiting is a promising product from the modern game. The youngster is capable of playing many positions. The 19-year-old has played 31 times for MLS side Seattle Sounders and has had promising performances.
The US prospect has mainly featured as a full-back on either side but is capable of playing midfield.
Baker-whiting has promising technical abilities and versatility which would be a strong asset to the Wrexham squad.
The Seattle Sounders player is the most likely to be attainable, with having the least amount of games under his belt.
