Wrexham have seen a huge overhaul of their squad since the takeover in 2021.
As is natural in football upon progression and promotions, Phil Parkinson has regularly looked to improve his squad each transfer window and that will be no different at the conclusion of this League One campaign.
Wrexham released a number of players in 2024 due to the EFL’s rule of only being able to register a 22-man squad for domestic competitions.
It is expected that Wrexham will have to do the same again this summer with club legends Paul Mullin and Ollie Palmer among those expected to depart the club.
Former captain Ben Tozer was one of those players released last summer and upon leaving the club he voiced some concerns about how the club would cope in the future, he is being answered emphatically at present.

Ben Tozer questioned the infrastructure at Wrexham moving forward
Speaking on talkSport in 2024, Tozer questioned whether the infrastructure at Wrexham would hamper their ambition and progression as they moved through the football pyramid.
Tozer stated: “I think the big question is the infrastructure behind the club in terms of the training ground, that’s the one big thing that needs to be set in stone.”
The former Wrexham captain then went on to discuss how financially feasible the changes would be for the owners and the club moving forward before giving high praise to Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.
“It’s hard because financially that doesn’t always get you what you put into it, do you know what I mean, so it’s going to cost a lot of money to put that in place but those guys are geniuses.”
Wrexham have focussed on improving infrastructure this season
Michael Williamson outlined plans for a new training ground earlier this season in an attempt to make the club more attractive for future signings as they progress through the leagues.
Plans have been approved for a new Kop Stand in addition, meaning the capacity of the Racecourse Ground will increase and more support given to Parkinson’s side on the pitch.

The Kop Stand will help to increase revenue and make Wrexham more sustainable under PSR rules, which again will only further strengthen their position as a club.
Not only have the Red Dragons once again made great strides on the pitch this season whatever happens in the promotion race, they are also progressing the club well off the pitch too.
