Wrexham striker Paul Mullin will be in good company at Wigan Athletic after recent signing Ryan Hardie previously praised their boss, Ryan Lowe.
This summer, Wrexham are making wholesale changes in regards to personnel on the pitch.
Wrexham have already signed Ryan Hardie from Plymouth Argyle, with the forward arriving with vast Championship experience, coming off the back of a relatively positive season from a personal perspective.
Unfortunately, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have had to be bold regarding the future of some players, showing that there is no room for sentimental value.
Steven Fletcher has departed Wrexham permanently, whilst Paul Mullin looks set to join Wigan Athletic on loan.
It will be an opportunity for Mullin to prove that he can shine at League One level after getting very little game time last season, and based on what Ryan Hardie has previously said about Latics boss Ryan Lowe, the Wrexham legend will appear to be in good hands.

Ryan Hardie gives Paul Mullin the seal of approval for future boss Ryan Lowe
The priority for Mullin in his upcoming loan spell will be to refind his form and goalscoring touch, and there are not many better coaches at this level to help with that than Ryan Lowe.
As a former striker back in his playing career, Lowe will certainly have a lot to teach Mullin, just like Hardie was able to improve his trade under the boss back at Plymouth.
Back in 2021, via Plymouth Live, Hardie reflected on Lowe’s stint at Plymouth after he decided to take up a job at Preston North End.
“Personally, it will be a bit of a miss for me but the Gaffer [Steven Schumacher] has worked with Ryan Lowe for three or four years so he will have the same ideas.”

Paul Mullin has chance to reignite Wrexham career
The past year or so has been rather uncharted territory for Paul Mullin, going from Wrexham’s star man to being surplus to requirements.
Whilst it will be difficult for Mullin to reinstate his place at the forefront of Parkinson’s plans, it isn’t necessarily over for the striker at Wrexham.
This loan spell at Wigan Athletic will be perfect for him to show his worth at League One level for a side where he is guaranteed to get game time.
If Mullin can hit the ground running and endure a fantastic goalscoring season, injury-free as well, there is no reason why Parkinson wouldn’t then give Mullin a second chance in this Wrexham side from the 2026/27 season onwards.
