Wrexham are preparing for a new challenge in the Championship, with a number of players having departed the club.
Phil Parkinson explained releasing three goalkeepers as youngsters Brad Foster and Liam Hall joined veteran Mark Howard in exiting the Red Dragons.

Speaking on the latest episode of the Rob.Ryan.Red podcast, McElhenney has spoken out about how difficult he has found the news of Fletcher’s release from Wrexham.
McElhenney stated: “Even just bringing up his [Steven Fletcher] name is difficult because the brutal reality of football it just reminds me of how quickly you can go from spending all day with him here in Los Angeles promoting the show and playing golf,
“To putting him on a plane, sending him home and within 24 hours, Phil released him from the club and that was difficult.”
Eoghan O’Connell praised Fletcher’s influence on the Wrexham squad and his departure has certainly left a hole at the club both on and off the pitch.

Fellow owner Ryan Reynolds has also been discussing the departure of Fletcher and he has revealed the biggest reason why the striker will be missed at the club.
Reynolds stated: “Fletch really reminded a lot of other players that this is fun.”

Wrexham will need their experienced players to once again be big voices in the dressing room next season as they face a stiffer challenge of the second tier.
Parkinson will now be eyeing a replacement for Fletcher in his attacking options and Wrexham continue to be linked with Patrick Bamford with Cardiff striker Callum Robinson also on their radar.
