Phil Parkinson and Wrexham made significant investment in the squad this summer as they brought 13 players to the club during the transfer window.
Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac demonstrated their faith and belief in the Red Dragons’ manager by seeing their club, Wrexham, spend £33 million on summer signings.
While it was a tough start to the campaign for the Welsh side as they struggled to get early results, their fortunes appear to have changed as players have had time to train together and understand the tactical approach of Parkinson.
The performance of the Wrexham players against Derby County demonstrated how several signings have bedded into the side, with one in particular standing out, with this individual likely to have Red Dragons fans and their manager committing the cardinal sin of football.
Wrexham fans could commit the cardinal sin of falling in love with a loan signing
It has happened so many times throughout the history of football that fans and managers have fallen in love with their loan signings, and Wrexham may be about to go the same way.
Issa Kabore has made a fine start to his life at the Welsh side, having created three goals in his two Championship appearances so far.
Phil Parkinson joked about hiding his performance from Pep Guardiola, as the Red Dragons manager has been impressed by the performances of the loanee from Manchester City; however, there may be concerns that he could miss the next game against Leicester City.
Wrexham fans loved Kabore’s performance against Derby, and that was just a week on from being impressed by his debut for the club.

Issa Kabore left Luton Town fans heartbroken after they fell in love with him
As Wrexham fans fall in love with Kabore week upon week as he puts in fine performance after fine performance, they will be disappointed when he leaves the club to return to Manchester City.
However, it won’t be the first time that he will have done this to an EFL club, as he previously was on loan at Luton Town.

Speaking to Luton Today, previous Hatters manager Rob Edwards explained how impressed he and the fans were with the wing-back.
He said: “Our supporters love him, as they can see him giving absolutely everything. He is full tilt all of the time; the amount of times in training I have to say, ‘Issa, just steady on, calm,’ as he’s hit a match load of sprint the day before a game. He’s brilliant, and from a disappointment, that was a brilliant, brilliant way to bounce back.”
