Wrexham are currently unbeaten in their last four Championship fixtures, as Phil Parkinson has made them incredibly hard to beat.

There is one worrying stat for Wrexham, as they have lost the most points from winning positions this Championship campaign; however, they have scored in every game of the league season so far.

While this may be a concern, their performances have been more deserving of wins instead of draws, particularly in their recent game against Birmingham City.

The Red Dragons manager has been hailing the performances of one player in particular across this unbeaten run in the second tier.

George Dobson’s fine form should not surprise, as he was ‘destined for stardom’

Phil Parkinson has been impressed by George Dobson and the performances he has had in recent weeks, as he was an important part of the team in their unbeaten run.

However, after the midfielder signed for Arsenal as a youngster, his former coach explained that he would be a star, as reported by the Brentwood Gazette after a conversation with director of sport Ian Wignall for Brentwood School.

He said: “He was absolutely destined for stardom.

“He was a super boy, worked really hard.

“He was motivated; he wanted to be successful, and without any doubt, that drive to succeed got him to where he is today.”

The Red Dragons have found form in recent weeks, and Dobson appeared to foresee this as he spoke with The Leader after Wrexham beat Millwall.

He said: “The dressing room’s still got the same real strong core of brilliant characters.

“The gaffer’s always recruited not just really good players, but really good people, and that hasn’t changed.

“It’s like anything; when there’s a lot of change, it’s always going to take a little bit of time to gel. You’re forming relationships on the pitch and off the pitch.

“But the new lads have brought a real sense of quality and Championship experience, so them relationships will form and only get better.”
