Wrexham owner Ryan Reynolds gave a prediction about the Red Dragons’ transfer window spending, and he got it absolutely spot on.

Ever since Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac took over at Wrexham, the club have hit new heights.

Wrexham now compete in the Championship following three promotions under the stewardship of boss Phil Parkinson, but the Red Dragons have by no means hit their ceiling yet.

Following the promotion last season from League One, many eyes were on Wrexham and how they would fare in the Championship, something that would be heavily dictated by their summer recruitment.

Wrexham owner Ryan Reynolds made one prediction about the summer transfer window ahead of it taking place, and following deadline day, we can safely say that he lived up to his promise.

Wrexham successfully adopted the ‘aggressive’ approach that Ryan Reynolds promised

After Wrexham’s rise through the divisions, it was clear that Phil Parkinson needed significant financial backing to get his side up to speed for the Championship.

The Red Dragons heroes, who had helped the club reach the Championship, could not be solely relied on, which sparked a flurry of transfer activity from Wrexham owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac.

This comes after Reynolds made a prediction about Wrexham’s recruitment, something that the club certainly lived up to.

“We’re coming to win,” said Wrexham owner Reynolds. “I can’t give you a dollar figure, but I can tell you that we are going to be as aggressive as we can possibly be while being mindful of sustainability.

“We have a stadium to revamp, but will still maintain its character and culture.”

Wrexham brought in a total of 14 recruits this summer, which saw Parkinson get the opportunity to heavily bolster his attacking options with the signings of Kieffer Moore, Nathan Broadhead, Josh Windass, and Ryan Hardie, all four of whom boast vast Championship experience.

Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac have never backed down from their ambitions

Wrexham owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac have shown vast ambition from day one at the Racecourse Ground, and that has shown no signs of slowing down.

When they first arrived at the club, they set some short-term and long-term goals, whether it be to get out of the National League or develop the rotting Kop Stand.

They have managed to continuously live up to their promises, and they now find themselves with an opportunity to reach their ultimate goal, which is to reach the Premier League.

Wrexham are now one promotion away from the top-flight, which is a stunning achievement considering the state of the club when they first took over.

If the Red Dragons survive in the Championship this season, Rob and Ryan will no doubt continue to show ambition as they hope to make Wrexham’s chances of promotion to the Premier League as great as possible.
